After a decade’s hiatus, Mario Golf has made its way onto the current generation of Nintendo’s portable consoles. At a base level, the game remains much the same – an arcade golf game with all our favourite characters from the world of Mario. But there are changes too. Some will think for the worse, but I believe they clean the game up and place the focus back on the golf itself.
When it comes to loveable characters in the world of Mario, nobody can deny Yoshi his rightful place on the throne of adorability. So it’s always a pleasure when Yoshi, or should I say Yoshi’s get to star in their own game.
Mario Party: Island Tour is the 12th incarnation of the series (and I refuse to count that weird Nintendo eReader release), but surprisingly the first foray onto the 3DS.
24th June, 2013 – Nintendo has released a downloadable update for Nintendo 3DS that will add new functionality to the handheld system.
If there is one thing that Nintendo has been showing us for the last year or so it’s that solid gameplay wins over flashy gimmicks and graphics any day.
When it comes to silly plots, the sequel to the 2001 Gamecube launch title takes the cake. Luigi’s Mansion 2 is lucky that it’s amazingly executed because it could never rely on its storyline to hold its own in a fight.
